* 45% marks in the subject or related subject and 50% in the aggregate.
Or
55% marks in the subject or related subject and 45% in the aggregate.
Or
50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the Subject during Higher Secondary Examination.

 

 

 

Candidates have to pass in English in the Higher Secondary Examination where Total Marks in English should not be less than 100 according to University of Calcutta Notification

GENERAL RULES :-

  • Total of the 4 highest marks obtained among subjects with full marks of 100;
  • Compulsory Environmental Studies NOT to be included.
  • Environmental Studies to be included only when it is a Elective subject of 100 marks.
  • Candidates must have passed an English paper of at least 100 marks.
  • Separate Merit Lists to be prepared for Economics (BA , BSc) and Geography (BA , BSc).
  • Candidates can apply for as many subjects as they wish by separate applications.
  • Application Fee: Rs. 150/- for each application.
  • 3 part Pay-in-slip: Bank Copy, College copy & Applicant’s Copy.

 

Candidates has to pass in English in the Higher Secondary Examination where Total Marks in English should not be less than 100 according to University of Calcutta Notification 

 

RESERVATION OF SEATS :

Scheduled Caste (SC):  22%
Scheduled Tribe (ST):   6%
Physically Handicapped (PH):   3%

Separate Merit Lists for each category will be published.

 

Explanation of Best 4 subjects:

  • Total of the 4 highest marks obtained among subjects with full marks of 100;
  • Example:  If a candidate has got:

Eng – 45; 
Bengali – 66;
History – 50;
 Philosophy – 40;
Sanskrit – 67;
Political Science – 36;
Enviromental studies -- 48

Then calculation should be:
 
67+ 66+ 50 +45 = 228 out of 400,
that is,  57%.
